Initial four generations of the Supra was produced from 1978 to 2002. The styling of the Supra was derived from the Toyota Celica, but it was both longer and wider. Starting in mid-1986, the A70 Supra became a separate model from the Celica.
Toyota is headquartered in Tokyo, Aichi. The main headquarters of Toyota is located in a 4-story building in Toyota. As of 2006, the head office has the "Toyopet" Toyota logo and the words "Toyota Motor".

Toyota Supra was a continuation of a 2000GT heritage presented years earlier. The first three generations of Supra were offered with a direct descendant to the 2000GT's M engine.
